Dundee, Scotland – Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education, and the Dundee Centre of Business Excellence (DCBE), are proud to announce the successful launch of the inaugural Faculty Fellowship Programme (FFP) in partnership with Badr University in Cairo (BUC), and IBDL Learning Group, marking a significant milestone in advancing higher education and professional development for academic staff.
The Faculty Fellowship Programme (FFP), led by Professor Alaa Garad, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at Al-Maktoum College, has been developed to enhance teaching excellence, leadership, and research capabilities within higher education institutions worldwide. Designed as a structured professional development initiative, FFP recognises faculty members’ achievements across four categories: Fellow, Senior Fellow, Master Fellow, and Executive Fellow.
The first cohort of the programme commenced at Badr University, Egypt, with a series of workshops and interactive sessions aimed at equipping faculty members with advanced skills in teaching, leadership, technology, and research. Participants engaged in specialised training on emotional intelligence, artificial intelligence tools, and strategic planning, nurturing a culture of innovation and excellence in higher education delivery.
