Al-Maktoum College Hosts International Conference in Collaboration with BATA

Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education has once again demonstrated its commitment to international collaboration and educational excellence by hosting the 4th Annual International Conference on Arabic Education. This significant event, held in Dundee, saw over 100 delegates from 26 countries gather to share knowledge and discuss innovations in the teaching of Arabic.

In partnership with the British Association of Teachers of Arabic (BATA), Al-Maktoum College has created a platform for educators from across the U.K. and the world to exchange best practices, resources, and insights into the evolving landscape of language education. This collaboration underscores our ongoing mission to enhance global educational standards and encourages cross-cultural understanding.

A Warm Dundee Welcome

As our guests arrive in Dundee, they are greeted not only with the warm hospitality for which Scotland is renowned but also with a rich agenda that promises to be both enlightening and engaging. This year’s conference agenda includes workshops, keynote speeches, and panel discussions designed to tackle the most pressing issues facing Arabic education today.

Expert Insights and Global Networking

The conference boasts a lineup of esteemed speakers, including Dr Sara Al Tubuly, Fatima Aldergazaly, and Attia Youseif, among others. Each brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that is invaluable to our discussions. Notable sessions include innovative teaching methodologies, digital advancements in language education, and strategies for cultural immersion.

Our attendees are not just passive participants but active contributors to the shaping of future educational practices. The diverse backgrounds of our delegates enhance the quality of dialogue and provide a broader perspective on how Arabic can be taught and learned effectively in various cultural contexts.

Exploring Dundee

Aside from the conference, we encourage our guests to explore Dundee, a city known for its vibrant arts scene and rich history. Between sessions, attendees can enjoy local attractions, such as the newly opened V&A Dundee, Scotland’s first design museum, and the picturesque views along the River Tay.

Looking Forward

As the conference progresses, we are reminded of the power of collaboration and the potential for education to unite people across different geographies and cultures. Al-Maktoum College is proud to facilitate such a gathering and hopes to continue playing a pivotal role in the advancement of Arabic education worldwide.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the attendees, speakers, and organisers who have come together to make this event a success. Here is to more fruitful discussions, lasting partnerships, and continued success in educating the leaders of tomorrow.
