Lecturer in Islamic Finance and Business Management
Dr Widad Metadjer is a lecturer in Islamic finance and business management at Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education, an Honorary lecturer in Islamic finance at the University of Dundee, and an Associate lecturer in moral economy and sustainable development at Abertay University.
Dr Metadjer holds a Bachelor, Master, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Finance and Money from Djilali Liabes University, Sidi Bel Abbes, Algeria. She holds a second Masters degree in Islamic Banking and Finance from the University of Dundee, Scotland, UK.
Dr Metadjer’s current role involves lecturing various postgraduate modules about Risk Management in Islamic Banking and Finance, Islamic Capital Markets, Environmentrics Data Modelling. Her other duties includes supervising several PhD students in various topics within her research interests.
Economics, Islamic finance, capital markets, moral economy and sustainable development, energy economics and green transition.
