Academic Training Programme students have this week, attended lectures and training sessions led by industry experts.
Organisational behaviour specialist Dr Rozana Huq, and University of Portsmouth Senior Teaching Fellow Dr Alaa Garad, led separate sessions in Leadership and Management skills. Both experts have taught on the Academic Training Programme in previous years, with Dr Alaa Garad also having attended the College to present in the public Open Lecture Series.
Students were also joined by Mr Gerry Higgins later in the week for practical sessions in intercultural communications.
Academic and practical sessions will aid students in preparing for written assignments- which should demonstrate engagement with the academic issues of the programme.
Participants will be awarded with a certificate accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) following the completion of the training programme, in just over a weeks’ time.
